Kaiako - ECE

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our close-knit team as we rebuild and re-energise following recent leadership changes.

Our small, mixed-age early learning centre is licensed for 30 children aged 2–5 years and is conveniently located in central Whangārei.

We are seeking a passionate kaiako with a great sense of fun and enthusiasm. If you have experience planning and delivering a rich, play-based curriculum guided by Te Whāriki, we would love to hear from you.

Our preferred candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified and registered ECE kaiako, or be within 12 months of teacher registration
• Build warm, respectful, and positive relationships with tamariki and their families/whānau
• Be innovative, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to supporting the learning journeys of tamariki
• Bring strengths in Te Ao Māori to support our teams journey towards a bicultural environment
• Hold the legal right to work in New Zealand (please note we are not an accredited employer)
