About This Role

Required from September 2026

Join our vibrant team at our leading co-educational Nursery and Prep School, serving children aged 2–11. Set on 19 acres of Surrey Countryside, we are conveniently situated just minutes from the A3. Ripley Court School boasts excellent facilities and expansive grounds that enhance our sports programs and provide ample space for children to play. Following our merger with The Reed's School Foundation in November 2019 and celebrating our 130th anniversary in 2023, we continue to grow and thrive. Our warm, family atmosphere and exceptional pastoral care is at the heart of what we do, and we invite you to become part of our outstanding team and contribute to our collective success.

The Role

We are currently looking to appoint a Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to work on a full-time basis (term time only). The role-holder will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver high quality, differentiated lessons at the appropriate national curriculum level for Key Stage 1. The Teacher will play a full part in the life of the School, attending meetings and participating in School events as required.

This role will be based at Ripley Court School and will be full time.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will exhibit an ability to support our School ethos by not only providing excellent teaching, but by supporting pupils’ wider development with excellent pastoral care and demonstrating a willingness to become involved in the School's extra-curricular programme.

What We Offer

Apply exclusively via the WhatSchool platform.

The closing date for applications will be midday, Friday 10 April 2026.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a completed application as soon as possible. The School reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date, should a suitable candidate present themselves.

Ripley Court School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and Ripley Court School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
