Kindergarten Teacher
Job Description
Him Lam International School Bac Ninh is looking to employ a Kindergarten teacher with an outstanding track record of teaching Kindergarten students, especially English as a Second/Additional Language. The Homeroom teacher will be responsible for the teaching of the core Kindergarten subjects.
To improve the quality of learning outcomes for students by providing teaching and learning ‘best practices’ within the framework of the school’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Learning Principles and Learner Sphere, Culture, and the appropriate national and international programmes.
To ensure success as a Kindergarten teacher, the candidate must be qualified in Early Years Education (IEYC curriculum preferred). The Kindergarten teacher must possess a pleasant disposition that will enhance the learning process. Ultimately, an outstanding Kindergarten teacher should engage students in meaningful and fun activities, creating an environment conducive to learning.
I. Duties
● Design, plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to suit the individual needs of all students in line with the school early years curriculum.
● Inspire mixed culture and ability classes, by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
● Assess and monitor student progress and provide targets so that all learners can see success and improve.
● Observe and evaluate student wellbeing, as a subject teacher and homeroom teacher, to promote and support their personal and social development.
● Collaborate with other teachers to share new ideas, approaches and professional knowledge.
● Ensure regular collaboration with SEN and EAL to ensure a holistic approach is followed regarding students of varying developmental levels.
● Maintain accurate and professional communication with parents, ensuring parents are updated on their children's status and progress. Keep parent communication platforms updated per requirements set at the beginning of the year. Add additional information as requested.
● Liaise with the Head of the International IEYC Programme to ensure effective curriculum delivery to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom.
● Contribute to the extra-curricular activities programme and participate in school activities such as Open Day, Admissions Day, After School Activities, PD Day or PTC Day.
● Maintain constant awareness of the needs of children to whom English is another language.
● Ensure that lesson plans are adapted to ensure differentiation for students with additional needs.
● Participate in curriculum, homeroom, extra-curricular and other developmental programmes.
● Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day, as needed.
● Maintain cordial relations and communication with other school staff members.
● Ensure effective utilisation of resources, materials, and equipment.
● Other tasks as assigned by the Head of the International IEYC Programme as direct line manager or the School Director.
II. Requirement
1. Education
● Bachelor’s Degree or above in Early Childhood Education (Postgraduate Degree in Education or Related Teaching Subject is preferred)
● Recognised teaching certificate/license in subject.
2. Experience
● At least 3 years of teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
● Previous experience in international or bilingual schools is highly preferred.

3. Skills & Knowledge
● Native level of English
● Proficiency in a second language, such as Vietnamese, Korean, or Chinese, is desirable
● Creativity/flexibility/adaptability/enthusiasm for teaching diverse learners from different cultural backgrounds/languages/abilities/interests/personalities
● Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, including online learning management systems, online collaboration tools or online assessment tools

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
