About This Role

Kensington Park School is seeking to expand our popular Summer School teaching team. 

We require fun and inspiring teachers for our Engineering & Computing summer pathway. Students are aged 14-17 and reside at our boarding residence. There are no evening or weekend commitments for this post. Successful candidates will be offered either two, four or six week fixed-term contracts.

The dates for our courses will be:

Block 1 - July 6th to July 17th

Block 2 - July 20th to July 31st

Block 3 - August 3rd to August 14th

Each day will involve teaching face-to-face lessons at our school in Kensington in the mornings before heading into London for academic excursions (sites of interest, museums, universities etc.) each afternoon.

The timings of your day for each two week course are:

Week 1:

Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri

09:15-12:30- Lessons at KPS

13:30-17:30- Academic Excurions

Week 2:

Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri

09:15-12:30- Lessons at KPS

13:30-17:30- Academic Excursions/Student Showcase on Friday

There is no teaching/activities on Wednesdays.

This position is non-residential but we do have a few spaces available in our boarding house, so please let us know if you require a place.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
