Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Oakfield House School, Salwick PR4 0YH
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am – 4pm
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in shaping positive learning experiences. Working closely with teachers and pupils, you’ll provide tailored support that helps every child succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally. What you will be doing Supporting individual pupils and small groups across a broad and engaging curriculum Assisting teachers in planning and delivering personalised learning programmes Encouraging confidence, independence, and self-esteem in every child Promoting positive behaviour and supporting social and emotional development Preparing classroom materials and contributing to a stimulating learning environment Recording and monitoring educational and behavioural progress Supporting pupils during lunchtimes, school activities, and educational visits Working collaboratively with staff to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school culture A caring, patient, and proactive individual A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment Someone who can build positive relationships with children and staff A passion for helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve success Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continuous develop GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and Englishment Oakfield House School is a specialist primary school for autistic pupils and those with additional learning, communication, or behavioural needs. Set in a beautiful 1880s country house with eight acres of parkland, we provide a nurturing and supportive environment.
