Learning Support Co-ordinators (LSCS) play a vital role in supporting ākonga with learning and wellbeing needs in Māori-medium education. They build strong relationships with kaiako, whānau, and support services to ensure every ākonga can thrive in Rumaki level 1 and 2 settings.
This position: • is a new position, part of Māori support funding; • is a fixed term, MOE contract – initial funding through to June 2027, with expected provision for funding beyond that; • includes an allowance for PLD and programme materials.
Learning support coordinators (LSCs): • are experienced, registered teachers with a current full practising certificate; • have a background in supporting learners in Rumaki level 1 and 2 settings; • have a level of competency and fluency in te reo Māori.
