We are committed to being a small, ambitious and nurturing community where every pupil is supported to achieve their potential.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join Angel Meadow School. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, accessible and high-quality Maths education to small groups of pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, helping them to build confidence, numeracy skills and meaningful qualifications. You will play a key role in our small specialist community, working closely with support staff and therapists to ensure every pupil can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive Maths lessons tailored to pupils with SEND and SEMH
• Plan, teach and assess Maths across KS3 and KS4, including Functional Skills and GCSE pathways where appropriate
• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism
• Use practical, visual and multi-sensory approaches to support understanding and engagement
• Track, assess and report on pupil progress in both academic and personal development
• Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver personalised learning
• Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience and positive attitudes towards Maths
• Contribute to EHCP targets and review processes where required
• Support learning across the Alternative Provision when needed
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing
• Attend CPD, training and staff meetings
• Contribute to whole-school activities, trips and enrichment

What We Offer

• The opportunity to shape Maths provision in a new and growing specialist school
• Maximum class size of 5 pupils
• A supportive, close-knit team with a strong focus on wellbeing and collaboration
• Tailored CPD in SEND, SEMH and small-group teaching
• Reduced marking and administration, with a focus on meaningful progress over paperwork
• Opportunities for career development and leadership as the school expands
