The Role
The school is seeking a Maths Teacher to join the Secondary team on a fixed-term cover contract. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons, adapt teaching to a range of learner profiles, and contribute positively to departmental and whole-school life.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics at the secondary level in line with the French National Curriculum
Plan lessons, schemes of work and assessments
Monitor and assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records
Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings and school events
Work collaboratively with colleagues, pastoral staff and senior leadership
Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs
Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), CAPES, Agrégation, Master’s degree or equivalent
Experience teaching Maths at the secondary level
Native-level French preferred, or a good understanding of the French curriculum
Skills & Attributes
Ability to differentiate teaching for diverse learners
Enthusiastic, caring and approachable manner
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
Team player with excellent communication skills
