ROLE SUMMARY
St. Louis School Archinto is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join the Secondary School from August 2026.
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme, delivering engaging and concept-driven lessons that challenge students and support high levels of academic achievement. The role requires strong subject knowledge, confidence with IB assessment practices, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme (Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation)
Plan and deliver high-quality, concept-driven lessons aligned with IB philosophy
Prepare students for Internal Assessments and IB external examinations
Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
Contribute to collaborative planning, moderation and curriculum development
Maintain high standards of academic integrity and classroom practice
Engage positively with parents and the wider school community
Contribute to the wider life of the school through meetings, events and activities
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential
A degree in Mathematics or a closely related field
A recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Mathematics at upper secondary level
Strong understanding of IB Diploma assessment requirements
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Legal right to live and work in Italy (EU passport or valid work permit)
Desirable
Experience teaching IB DP Mathematics
Experience in an international school environment
Experience preparing students for IB examinations
Italian language skills (advantageous but not essential)
