Job Description
As a Middle School English teacher you will plan and deliver engaging lessons using the Cambridge framework while working within Hungarian national education policies. You will create a student-centred classroom that nurtures academic progress, confidence, and a love of learning. It is an advantage if you have experience teaching digital culture and science.
The role includes planning lessons, assessing student progress, providing meaningful feedback, and collaborating with Hungarian and international colleagues to support the ongoing development of the primary programme. The successful candidate will be a reflective, motivated educator committed to high-quality teaching and continuous professional growth.
Skills and Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher with a recognised teaching qualification
Have a minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in primary education
Experience with, or willingness to work within, the Cambridge framework for English subjects
Strong understanding of student-centred and inquiry-based learning
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within a bilingual and multicultural team
Commitment to professional growth and contribution to a developing school
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English-language instruction aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Create a student-centred learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and confidence
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Collaborate with Hungarian and international colleagues on curriculum planning and school initiatives
Communicate effectively with parents and care providers.
Play an active role in the wider school community by participating in events, meetings, and professional growth opportunities.
