About This Role
At Monroe's Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, in accordance with the British National curriculum. Great emphasis is placed upon delivering a broad and balanced curriculum that ensures the children establish a solid foundation of knowledge, skills, and understanding upon which they can build throughout their lives.
Core Responsibilities
*Developing and producing visual aids and teaching resources;
*Organizing learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources;
*Developing children’s curiosity and knowledge;
*Working with others, including teaching assistants and/or nursery nurses as well as volunteer helpers, to plan and coordinate work both indoors and outdoors;
*Observing, assessing, and recording each child’s progress;
*Attending in-service training;
*Sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents;
*Providing pastoral care and support to children and providing them with a secure environment to learn;
*Motivating and stimulating children’s learning abilities, often encouraging learning through experience;
*Ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the nursery/school;
*Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and developments in best practices.
*Assisting with the development of children’s personal/social and language abilities;
*Supporting the development of children’s basic skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication;
*Encouraging children’s mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play;
Qualifications:
*University degree in Early Childhood / Education or other specialization provided that it is accompanied by a certified vocational certificate in the care and education of early childhood children (level III).
Or a high school diploma provided that they are combined with a certified vocational certificate in the care and education of early childhood children (Cache Level 3) *with at least two years of experience in the care or education of children.

- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned to the required curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.
- Assess student progress rigorously and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Participate actively in broader school life, including extra-curricular programs.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to elevate instructional strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
