About the role

We are looking for a Part-Time School Minibus Driver to provide safe, reliable, and timely transport for our pupils and staff during term time. You will play an important role in ensuring our students travel to and from school safely and comfortably. This role requires you to drive the school minibus on a predetermined route, assist with cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, and adhere to all relevant legal requirements and health and safety guidelines. You will be expected to represent the school positively, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a safe environment for all passengers. Additionally, you will work closely with the Operations Manager and other team members, providing support as needed for home-to-school transport.

This is a part-time role needed during term time starting late April 2025. The proposed work pattern is 4 hours per day, covering morning and afternoon trips.

Who we are looking for: 

We are seeking a responsible, reliable, and flexible individual who is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our pupils. You will need to hold a full British manual driving licence, including the D1 category, and have at least 24 months of driving experience with no more than 3 penalty points, including the D1 category to drive minibus. Previous experience working with children is an advantage, as is experience in driving passenger-carrying vehicles. You should be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Your excellent communication skills, discretion, and willingness to learn and adapt will make you a great fit for this role.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
