Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Coordinator to join our team for the new academic year 2026–2027.

The Pastoral Coordinator plays a key role in supporting student behaviour, wellbeing, and day-to-day school routines. The role reports to the Inclusion Lead and works closely with teachers and school leaders to maintain a positive learning environment.

This is not a leadership role; it is ideal for someone with experience in student support, behaviour management, or pastoral coordination who can proactively implement school routines and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Support a positive, safe, and disciplined learning environment across the school.

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, common areas, and during transitions to ensure orderly conduct and adherence to school rules.

Assist teachers and school leaders in managing student behaviour and promoting a culture of respect and responsibility.

Communicate with parents and staff regarding behaviour matters as needed.

Support school routines such as attendance monitoring, break/lunch supervision, and transitions between lessons.

Maintain records of incidents and follow up according to school policies.

Mentor and guide students to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field

  • Experience working with children or in a school environment is preferred.

  • Previous experience in a pastoral, student support, or behaviour coordination role is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional when managing student behaviour situations.

  • Experience in British curriculum schools is desirable.

  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
