Job Overview
We are looking for positive, energetic and committed PE Interns to join our dynamic and innovative School community. Our Sports programme is extensive, and our website features links to our Sports and PE Instagram accounts, showcasing the breadth of what we offer.

About the Role

You will play an active part in supporting the PE and Games Department across both the Junior and Senior School. We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Dynamic, responsible and enthusiastic

  • Able to relate well to young people while maintaining professional boundaries

  • Confident working independently or as part of a team

  • Willing to lead activities when required

  • Positive, collaborative and forward‑thinking

  • Committed to the wider life of the School

Key Responsibilities

You will support the department in a range of tasks, including:

  • Assisting with the setup and delivery of PE and Games lessons

  • Supporting qualified staff in lessons across Junior and Senior School

  • Coaching within the School’s Games programme

  • Taking responsibility for the coaching and management of a major sports team each term

  • Assisting with age‑group teams after school and on weekends as required

  • Umpiring or refereeing School matches (where appropriately qualified)

  • Supporting the School’s outreach programme

  • Attending departmental meetings, staff meetings and smaller working groups

  • Participating in assemblies, events, trips and wider School activities

Skills & Experience

Candidates must demonstrate strong competence in at least two of the following sports:

  • Netball

  • Hockey

  • Rugby

  • Athletics

  • Cricket

  • Rounders

  • Swimming

  • Cross Country

  • Tennis

  • Strength & Conditioning

Particular strengths in Swimming, Netball, Hockey or Rugby are especially desirable.

You should also be willing to:

  • Reflect on the Sports curriculum with regard to Diversity and Inclusion

  • Act as a positive role model to pupils

  • Contribute actively to School life beyond sport

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
