About This Role
Due to the continued success of GEMS FirstPoint School, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding Secondary PE Teacher (Football Specialism) for August 2026. Successful candidates will:
Embody and role model our core values of Resilience, Empathy, Adaptability, Dynamism, and Individuality
Hold a BEd or Bachelor's degree with a PGCE/PGDE or equivalent in PE or a related subject
Have proven experience teaching PE at Secondary level
Demonstrate a strong specialism in football, with experience coaching and leading school teams
Be able to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across KS3–KS5
Share exemplary teaching and coaching practices
Have a creative and enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom
Possess excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
Have a proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning
Be willing to contribute fully to the school’s extra-curricular and competitive sports programme

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
