ROLE SUMMARY:

King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join us from the start of the 2026–2027 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding teaching across the curriculum while contributing to the development of the PE program and promoting health, fitness, and well-being across the school. The successful candidate will inspire a love for physical activity, encourage teamwork, and foster resilience, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle among students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality PE lessons across all key stages, ensuring students achieve their physical and personal development potential.

  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles through structured sports and fitness programs.

  • Track, evaluate, and report on student progress, providing timely feedback and tailored support.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the PE curriculum, extra-curricular programs, and school sporting events.

  • Encourage participation in school teams, competitions, and recreational sports activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical activity with broader educational goals, promoting well-being across the school.

  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance teaching, assessment, and student engagement.

  • Contribute to the broader school community by supporting events, workshops, and parent engagement activities.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).

  • Proven experience teaching PE across multiple age groups, ideally including international or IB curricula.

  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to develop their physical skills, fitness, and well-being.

  • A commitment to promoting teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles among students.

  • Confidence in integrating technology and modern fitness tools into lessons to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.

  • A collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation, excellence, and student well-being.
