Teacher of Physical Education (Secondary)

Salary: MPS/UPS (Inner London) + SEN Allowance (pro rata, where applicable)
Contract: Fixed Term (2 years)

About the Role

The H3 Federation is seeking to appoint a passionate, resilient and adaptable Teacher of Physical Education (PE) to work across our unique and inclusive federation.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach PE across:

●      A mainstream secondary school

●      A specialist SEMH provision

●      A Pupil Referral Unit / Alternative Provision

You will play a key role in using physical education to support engagement, wellbeing and re-engagement, particularly for pupils with SEND and social, emotional and mental health needs.

What You Will Do

●      Deliver high-quality PE across Key Stages 3 and 4

●      Adapt teaching for pupils with SEND, SEMH and EHCPs

●      Work flexibly across federation sites, including alternative provision

●      Contribute to an inclusive, engaging and therapeutic PE curriculum

●      Support enrichment, intervention and engagement programmes through sport

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who:

●      Is an excellent PE practitioner with strong subject knowledge

●      Can build positive relationships and manage behaviour effectively

●      Is committed to inclusive education and relational practice

●      Is flexible and willing to work across multiple settings

Experience in SEMH, PRU or alternative provision is desirable but not essential.

Contract and Salary

This is a two-year fixed-term contract from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2028.

SEN allowance will be awarded in line with STPCD and applied proportionately based on deployment within specialist and alternative provision settings.
