The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education who is committed to delivering high-quality PE lessons and inspiring pupils to develop their physical skills, confidence, and overall well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, dynamic, and inclusive PE lessons

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship

  • Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities, fixtures, and school events

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can thrive

  • Assess pupils’ progress effectively and provide constructive feedback

  • Maintain up-to-date subject and curriculum knowledge

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment programmes

  • Participate in professional development, including INSET and CPD

 

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • A recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent) from a UK university

  • Proven experience teaching Physical Education within a British curriculum setting

  • Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills

  • A passion for teaching and commitment to pupil achievement

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience teaching Physical Education within a British curriculum environment

  • Recent teaching experience in the UK

  • Experience teaching swimming, with a recognised swimming instructor qualification

  • An interest or experience in teaching across different age groups
