About This Role

Physics Technician – permanent part time, term time only.

Are you passionate about Physics and enjoy bringing science to life through practical work? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Physics Technician to join our Science Faculty and play a key role in supporting high quality teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will have practical laboratory experience and ideally experience of working in a school (desirable but not essential). 

Key Responsibilities

As a valued member of our Physics team, you will have

  • Strong practical and theoretical science/technical skills across Key Stage 3-5, especially in electronics and circuits
  • Be able to coordinate and ensure the safe handling of Advanced Level practical assessments and examination materials
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities

 

This role is offered working 15 hours over 2 days per week within Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, Term time only (approx.36 weeks per year). Exact hours / work pattern can be discussed at interview.

Salary £8,815 per annum  (FTE - £27,179 per annum)

Closing Date: 9am Tuesday 10th April 2026       Interview:  Friday 17th April 2026

The role is deemed to be in regulated activity with a moderate level of contact with children on a day to day basis

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
