Primary Class Teacher

Shrewsbury Phnom Penh delivers a British primary education (National Curriculum for England) for students aged 3–18. We are part of the Shrewsbury family of schools, connected to one of the UK’s most prestigious institutions with almost 500 years of scholarship and celebrated alumni, including Charles Darwin. Our Early Years opened in the iconic Flatiron building in August 2022, our purpose-built Primary campus opened in September 2024 and a new 7-hectare all-through campus opens in September 2026.

You will plan and deliver high-quality learning across the primary phase, contribute to a vibrant co-curricular offer, and help build a culture where students are safe, happy and ambitious. You’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Primary and a dedicated team of passionate colleagues to establish excellent habits and joyful classrooms.

You will bring:

• Strong subject and pedagogical knowledge of the National Curriculum (2014).
• Experience with thematic, enquiry-led teaching that nurtures curiosity, creativity and collaboration.
• Confident use of formative and summative assessment and progress data to inform teaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positivity, flexibility and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude suited to a young, growing school.
• UK-recognised teaching status (e.g., QTS). Teachers with recent UK experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
