About This Role
The Primary Homeroom Teacher will work to prepare and maintain the classroom environment that facilitates a holistic growth for students. The homeroom teacher will be responsible for the planning, teaching, and learning within the year groups, be accountable for high standards within classroom, be collaboratively active cross department, and ensure continuously improving throughout the curriculum.
Job Responsibilities
- Create an inspiring and caring learning environment for students to learn and grow
- Ensure creativities and high standard in teaching and learning
- Share responsibly for curriculum design, development, and enhancement
- Actively participate in school events
- Ensure continuity with the Primary curriculum and inter-disciplined approaches in daily teaching
- To maximize opportunities to develop and enhance the curriculum by designing and implementing activities inside and outside classroom, e.g. visiting speakers, undertaking field trips etc...
- Foster an atmosphere in your class and with parents that shows commitment to the well-being and growth to each student, socially and academically;
- To be responsible to all pastoral needs of pupils.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in relevant subject area
- A recognized teaching qualification (eg. B.Ed., M.Ed., iPGCE, QTS/iQTS)
- Two years Full-time Classroom teaching Experience in mainstream education sector is preferred;
- Cambridge curriculum teaching experience is a plus, ideally with an international educational setting;
- Strong sense of responsibly and pastoral care for students;
- Willingness to actively engage in the academic enrichment and extra-curricular activities
- Be collaborative and effectively work as a team
- Be committed to maintaining and improving the high standards of teaching and learning.
