Location: The British School of Nanjing


The British School of Nanjing is looking to recruit a Primary Teacher starting from March 2025, to drive excellent teaching and learning in Primary.

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Primary Teacher starting from March 2025 to join our Primary team. This is an exciting opportunity to create a generation of resilient and creative global citizens, who will change our world for the better. You will benefit our students and people, through our programmes such as the Global Campus, Nord Anglia University, and our collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, UNICEF, IMG and King’s College London.

 

The role:

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s Primary curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.  This is a short-term contract until June this year, but there is also a possibility of a contract extension.

About you

Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment as well as meet visa-related restrictions for working in China, including holding a bachelor’s degree and two years full-time related teaching experience.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
