About This Role

The British School of Barcelona (BSB) is a leading international school in a wonderful location. We are an HMC school and were judged by a recent BSO (British Schools Overseas) inspection to be outstanding in every area, including quality of education, safeguarding, pupil welfare and academic outcomes.

BSB is a large, highly respected and very popular school for children aged 3 to 18. Our curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum and we offer a wide range of GCSEs, A Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma, alongside a significant enrichment programme that supports the development of the whole child.

Over 2000 pupils from more than 74 nationalities attend the school and over 315 staff work at BSB across our campuses. In 2026 we will open our new, state-of-the-art campus at Maresme, east of Barcelona city. Due to strong demand, the campus has expanded and will now open to students from Nursery to Year 6 in its first year. This is an exciting and ambitious development, offering a range of specialist facilities including modern, flexible classrooms, science laboratories, fully equipped music and art facilities, rehearsal spaces, dedicated play, social and study areas, and excellent indoor and outdoor sports provision, all set in stunning surroundings, framed by the mountains and the Mediterranean coast. It is a truly exceptional environment in which to learn and work.

Due to this expansion, we are now seeking additional primary teachers to join the founding team at BSB Maresme. Alongside this, our established Barcelona City campus continues to evolve and strengthen as part of the wider BSB community. As we plan for the next academic year and the continued development of our provision, we are also recruiting Early Years and Primary teachers to join the team there.

BSB’s reputation for delivering an outstanding student experience, strong academic outcomes and a programme that builds character and develops a global mindset has seen the school go from strength to strength. We are ambitious and forward-thinking, and we do not stand still. Our culture of professional learning, collaboration and reflective practice ensures that staff are supported to grow and thrive in their careers.

Our continued development across campuses means that we are now looking for exceptional teachers to join us. If you would like to be part of something special and play a key role in shaping the next phase of our development, we would very much like to hear from you.
A commitment to the wider life of the school, and our enrichment programme, is an expectation of the job.
