Principal

We have an exciting opportunity for a principal who is passionate about combining their own strong Christian faith with educational leadership.

Jireh Christian School is a Year 1-8 school with a current maximum roll of 300 students, located in Avondale, Auckland. We are seeking a principal who will diligently and prayerfully work with students, parents, staff and the wider school community to steward the next season for the school and students, continuing to lead a Christian school that aids in the spiritual, educational, and leadership growth of the student body.

We are looking for a principal who will demonstrate:

• A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the school to uphold the Special Character. These requirements are a condition of appointment.
• A strong personal commitment to protect and enhance the Special Character of the school.
• Strong people skills, with a talent for effectively connecting and communicating with the school community.
• Improved education outcomes across all aspects of learning and development.
• Effective communication skills and experience building a strong and cohesive team through collaborative leadership.
• A commitment to fostering the ongoing growth and development of all staff, enabling students to fulfil their potential, and creating a positive impact on the wider community through the school’s efforts.
