We are currently seeking a dynamic Psychology Teacher (Years 7-13) to join our stellar academic community at The Chalfonts, an ‘inspirational independent school’ in High Wycombe.
About The Chalfont’s Independent Grammar School
The Chalfonts is an Independent Grammar School for students aged 11–18, located by the Rye on Queens Road in High Wycombe. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we deliver the IB Middle Years (IGCSE-equivalent) and Diploma (A-level-equivalent) Programmes. We equip students with critical thinking, self-organisation, and inquiry skills to thrive in an unpredictable future.
Classes are small (maximum 14 students) and structured around the Harkness method—students sit around a boardroom-style table and engage in open, confident dialogue. This unique setting fosters active participation, independence, and a strong teacher–student connection.

The School
The Chalfonts Independent Grammar School is a small, expanding independent IB World School in High Wycombe, authorised to offer both the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the IB Diploma Programme (DP). We are seeking a Psychology Teacher to join our friendly and forward-thinking team. The role is quite flexible, between 0.4-1.0 FTE by mutual agreement.
Teaching Psychology across Years 12-13.
