About This Role

Curriculum & Planning

  • Collaborate with PYP Homeroom Teachers to integrate STEM into Units of Inquiry

  • Design and implement STEM projects, experiments, and activities

  • Align lessons with IB learner profile attributes and approaches to learning (ATL skills)


Assessment & Reporting

  • Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments

  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress

  • Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with parents

  • Contribute to report writing and parent-teacher conferences


Classroom Environment

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of STEM resources, tools, and equipment


Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Work collaboratively with academic staff, coordinators, and leadership teams

  • Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs

  • Stay updated with current trends in STEM education and IB practices


Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in STEM or related subjects

  • Experience in IB PYP (preferred)

  • Experience in international schools is an advantage


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and IB PYP philosophy

  • Ability to integrate technology into teaching (e.g., coding, robotics, digital tools)

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Creative and innovative teaching approach

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons aligned to the required curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress rigorously and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate actively in broader school life, including extra-curricular programs.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to elevate instructional strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
