About This Role

Ruamrudee International School Phuket is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join our Early Years Department. This is a full-time position, based at Ruamrudee International School Phuket, and reporting directly to the Head of Early Years.

The successful candidate will provide a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging learning environment that supports young learners in their early stages of development. The Early Years Teacher will play a key role in promoting each child’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through developmentally appropriate teaching practices. This role also requires strong collaboration with families to ensure every child’s well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities

As an Early Years Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with the school’s educational philosophy

  • Deliver engaging lessons that support early language, cognitive, motor, and social development

  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore

  • Use effective classroom management strategies that promote positive behaviour and social skills

  • Conduct ongoing assessments and observations to track student progress and development

  • Provide regular feedback to parents on learning progress, milestones, and areas for growth

  • Maintain strong home-school relationships through communication, conferences, and school events

  • Differentiate learning to meet individual needs and collaborate with specialists/support staff when necessary

  • Ensure children’s health, safety, and well-being, following all school safeguarding and safety procedures

  • Participate in professional learning opportunities and stay informed about best practices in early childhood education

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)

  • A recognized teaching certification with a focus on early childhood education

  • Proven experience teaching young children in an early years setting

  • Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education theory

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with young children

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
