We’re looking for a skilled and caring teacher to join our small, committed team in 2026. This position is for a Year 2–3 class, beginning at the start of Term 2 2026.

Tasman School is a vibrant, family-oriented rural primary with a growing roll of 126 children, set in the heart of a supportive and engaged community.

You’ll work alongside a collegial, experienced team who value evidence-based practice, collaboration and strong relationships with learners and whānau.

You’ll be someone who:

• builds strong relationships with tamariki and whānau, fostering a warm and inclusive classroom
• brings calm, consistent energy and creates a purposeful, engaging learning environment
• has a clear, structured approach to teaching and learning, grounded in evidence-based practice
• works collaboratively within a team, contributes positively to our school culture, and reflects on their practice.

An advantage:

• training or experience in Structured Literacy or other evidence-based literacy approaches
• familiarity with the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum and evidence-based approaches for behaviour management.
