About the Role

Winston Way Primary Academy is seeking a highly organised, professional, and proactive School Administrator to join our welcoming and dedicated school office team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our busy school and ensuring the best outcomes for pupils, families, and staff.
As a valued member of our administration team, you will help us uphold the highest standards of achievement, communication, and safeguarding across the school.
We are looking for somebody with excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. The candidate will be flexible, adaptable, solution focused and can work as part of a team as well as independently to meet the school’s objectives. The successful candidate will be passionate about education, resilient and must have excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate must hold GCSEs in Maths and English and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office in order to fulfil the requirements of this role to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Include
Provide effective administrative, organisational, and communication support across the school
Deliver a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service to all visitors, parents, and external agencies
Manage Arbor data accurately, including admissions, pupil records and attendance information
Support the Principal, Business Support Officer and Executive Business Manager with diary management, correspondence, meeting preparation, HR admin and general office operations
Coordinate key processes including attendance, welfare recording, school trips, uniform management, purchase orders, DfE/LA census and internal communications
Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient administrative environment
Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and United Learning policies
Support pupils, parents, and families with welfare, attendance and communication needs under the direction of the DSL or Attendance Officer
This role requires flexibility, reliability, high accuracy and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
