About This Role

We now have a position open at Canadian School of Florence for a qualified Science Teacher who will contribute to wider success by teaching outstanding Science classes and sustaining student performance in terms of teaching, learning, and evaluation. The position will be for our High School and the ideal profile will have a hands on approach and prioritize STEM learning. 

Job overview

You’ll be delivering core aspects of the Science curriculum, using assessments and feedback to sustain and raise achievement.

Job requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification

  • Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g BSc in a Science-related degree)

  • Ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons covering a range of modules and concepts, both theoretical and practical

  • Understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for Science

  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning in preparation for examinations

  • Nice to have: Specialism in Biology or related material. Teaching experience in an international school. 

Personal competences: 

  • Strong English Language communication skills (C2 minimum)

  • Strong IT skills, ability to use multiple platforms and engage students in 21st century learning using relevant tech.

  • Collaboration skills, ability to work as part of a holisitc team to support student development.

  • Strong time management skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
