About This Role
Exeter School is the leading co-educational day school in the South West, educating over 1,000 pupils aged 3–18. Exeter School is seeking to appoint a full-time, term-time only science technician to join our school, a school of great character.
Starting as soon as possible, this is a wonderful opportunity to become an integral part of a successful, forward-looking, and ambitious science department. The friendly technician team work together to support science teachers to deliver high quality practical lessons. The role is varied, interesting, and challenging, offering opportunities to build on existing knowledge and skills whilst working in a practical environment.
The closing date for applications is 30 March 2026 at noon. We anticipate that interviews will be held on 23 April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Support science teachers in delivering practical lessons.
- Maintain and prepare laboratory equipment.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of experiments.
- Ensure a safe and effective working environment.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in science or a related field.
- Experience in a laboratory or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
