Purpose of the role
The Second in Charge of English will support the Head of English in the strategic leadership and day to day management of the English Department. The postholder will play a key role in sustaining a high quality, intellectually rigorous English curriculum and in securing consistently excellent teaching and learning across all key stages.The role combines outstanding classroom practice with leadership responsibility, contributing to curriculum design, pedagogical development, assessment and professional learning within a highly collegiate department.
