About This Role
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dedicated, and passionate Mathematics teacher who shares our commitment to educational excellence and social inclusion, while contributing to the leadership and growth of our Mathematics department. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional educator, driven by research-based pedagogy, with a strong focus on maximising pupil engagement and achieving outstanding outcomes.
Mathematics is at the centre of pupil achievement here at Archbishop Temple Church of England High School. We have a highly dedicated, motivated and successful department made up of six full-time teachers and one part-time teacher, all of whom are experienced, subject specialists. Pupils’ attitudes to learning are positive, which is reflected in the consistently good results achieved at GCSE.
We have a very distinctive ethos; our motto of “faith + nurture + service” is central to our work, as we aim to keep God at the centre of all we do. This post presents a wonderful opportunity for a talented, passionate and committed teacher. You would be joining our experienced Mathematics department at a very exciting time for all associated with the school; the successful candidate will receive the wholehearted support of a thriving governing body and a highly dedicated staff team. Further support will be received through our excellent working partnerships with Blackburn Diocese and Lancashire County Council.
