This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic teacher to take on a leadership role within the Science department at King Edward VI School. The successful candidate will support the Head of Science with the leadership and management of the range of specialisms covered, with a particular responsibility for leading Key Stage 3. For a suitably qualified candidate there may be an opportunity to take on further responsibility with an additional payment of £1200 as Acting Head of Department one day per week.

 

We are looking for an exceptional practitioner with experience in subject leadership. The successful candidate will have a pro-active approach and excellent communication skills. As Second in Science they will have a strategic role in working alongside the Head of Science to shape the development of teaching and learning across the department in order to maximise achievement.

The school is well-regarded within the community and has a reputation for high quality teaching.
