Job Summary

Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a dedicated, academically strong, and experienced Secondary Accounting Teacher to join our Secondary team in Bangkok.

The successful candidate will be capable of teaching Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Accounting, supporting students in developing strong numerical accuracy, conceptual understanding, and examination technique. This role is well suited to a teacher who values clarity, precision, and structured thinking, and who can guide students confidently through both theoretical and applied accounting concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Accounting lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Accounting syllabus

  • Teach core Accounting concepts, including financial statements, costing, budgeting, analysis, and interpretation of accounts.

  • Develop students’ ability to apply accounting principles accurately and logically to a range of structured and unfamiliar problems.

  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and external Cambridge examinations, with a strong focus on examination technique and accuracy.

  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, using data to inform teaching, differentiation, and targeted academic support.

  • Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, moderation, and resource development to ensure consistency and high standards.

  • Maintain a positive, disciplined, and academically focused classroom environment that encourages responsibility, precision, and independent learning.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and expectations.

  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and professional conduct.

Remuneration

A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.

  • Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in Secondary Accounting (international or Cambridge experience strongly preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Accounting syllabi, including assessment objectives and mark schemes.

  • Confidence in teaching financial accounting principles, structured calculations, and examination-style questions.

  • Strong classroom management, organisational, and communication skills.

  • A clear commitment to academic excellence, professional growth, and student success.
