About This Role

Azerbaijan British College (ABC) is an independent, secular, coeducational, not for profit British international 3-18 school located in the beautiful capital city Baku, on the shore of the Caspian Sea. ABC is a flagship school, teaching the British National Curriculum to local and expatriate children. ABC is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan. We are also a fully accredited school by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the British Council of International Schools (COBIS). We are licensed to offer a range of qualifications from two of the largest International Examination Boards, Cambridge International Assessment and Edexcel Pearson.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Secondary Math teacher to join our team in the upcoming academic year. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating an educational atmosphere where our students can fulfil their potential.

Qualifications

  • First Language English Speaker.
  • A ‘can do’ approach to work and a strong work ethic.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and students.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience and IGCSE experience (A-level an advantage)
  • The ability to motivate and inspire students from a wide range of linguistic backgrounds
  • Intercultural Communication Skills;
  • International Experience;
  • Open and Connected Leadership;
  • The ability to form and maintain good working relations with colleagues.
  • Constant updating of information relating to the school;
  • PGCE/BEd with QTS or recognized teaching license.

Preferred

  • CAIE, Edexcel or other UK examination board experience
  • Three or more years of relevant international experience

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
