Position Overview
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher at our international school, you will play a key role in promoting physical fitness, well-being, and an active lifestyle among our students. The role involves delivering engaging PE lessons, developing students’ physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, while fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
You will contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, support students’ overall growth, and work collaboratively within a multicultural school community.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons appropriate to students’ age, ability, and cultural background.
Teach a variety of sports, games, and physical activities focusing on movement skills, techniques, strategy, and fair play.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect in all activities.
Plan and implement a progressive PE curriculum using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
Adapt teaching strategies to support students with different learning styles and abilities.
Promote healthy lifestyles by educating students about physical fitness, nutrition, and personal wellbeing.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
Ensure student safety during all PE activities and follow school health and safety procedures.
Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.
Participate in school events, meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
Contribute positively to the wider school community and uphold the school’s mission and values.
General Duties
Comply with and actively support all school policies and procedures.
Follow school Health and Safety policies and ensure a safe learning environment.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by PBISS management.
Support school-wide initiatives and projects that benefit the organisation.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
Teaching qualification or certification preferred.
Previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international or multicultural school.
Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness practices.
Ability to design engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
