Tarabya British School (TBS) is a COBIS-accredited school that teaches a Global Cambridge Curriculum. We develop lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives specific to teaching Primary grade levels, and use computers, smart boards, and other technology to enhance teaching and learning.
We adapt teaching methods and resources to differentiate and meet the different learning needs and interests of every student. By establishing positive and nurturing relationships with students and an intimate classroom environment, we work together holistically with parents and our school counsellors to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students, academically and socially.
Required: Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education degree in Physics Education/PGCE or equivalent from your home country
- Teaching license/qualification from the UK, CA, US, AU, NZ, IR, SA
We are especially looking for individuals who are culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a continuously changing environment.
Contract Details:
- Start Date: August 2026
- Contract Duration: 1 - 2 years (renewable)
- Location: Istanbul, Turkey
Work permit: After being accepted for the position, a work permit needs to be applied for via the applicant's home country. (Step-by-step guidance and support will be provided by TBS)
- Dependent School Fees: Teachers of TBS access free school places for their children
- Housing: Part-furnished 1/2 bedroom apartment accommodation will be provided (depending on family size)
- Annual Air Tickets: Annual Return Air Fare provided for the TBS employee only
- Vacation: 6 weeks of summer holidays, plus national holidays and half-term breaks
- Private Medical Insurance: Covered by the school for TBS employee only. Public health insurance will be provided for dependants.
- NET Salary: Competitive salary (qualifications teaching experience dependent)
