Introduction:
The International School of Penang (Uplands) is a leading international school located in Malaysia, offering an exceptional education to students from around the world. We are currently seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Secondary School Music Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate would teach IGCSE music and MYP Performing Arts with the potential for IBDP music in the future. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about the importance of music education in schools and would be willing to contribute outside the classroom to further develop our new orchestra program. We are seeking a highly collaborative individual who will work with members of the Arts Faculty to deliver our annual school production.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in music or related field
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level
- Strong knowledge of MYP and/or IGCSE curriculum for music
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficient in using technology for teaching purposes
- Experience in organizing concerts and performances
- Willingness to participate actively in extracurricular activities
