Job Description

Work Location: Him Lam International School – Him Lam Green Park, Bac Ninh, Viet Nam.


  1. Duties

  • Plan and writes IEP for Students under Student Support Services  

  • Provides Individualized Curriculum Plan for students with modified academic plan

  • Provides small class to 1-1 intervention for SSS Students  

  • Conducts IEP and PTC meetings  

  • Prepares Behavior Management Plan for students with behavior difficulties 

  • Provides classroom supports for HT for proper accommodation according to their IEPs 

  • Conducts assessments, observations and progress monitoring for students under SSS 

  • Provides teachers orientation on understanding SEN students and developing their skills (Fine motor skills, Executive functions, behavior management s and daily living skills)  

  • Create conducive learning environment for everyone, including children with ADHD and ASD

  • Conducts parents’ conference to create a good rapport for the benefit of the students. 

  • Develop daily routines as part of the children’s discipline 

  • Other tasks as assigned by line manager.

    Requirement 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Education/Special Education/Pedagogy or above

Certificates in Education/Teaching

Experience

At least 3 years of teaching experience and minimum 1 years in Special Education

Skills & Knowledge

Commitment to working with pupils with special educational needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Has ability to build good relationships based on trust with pupils and their families

Behavior management skills, with the ability to manage confrontation and challenging behavior

Initiative and problem-solving skills

Teamworking skills to liaise with other teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists and social workers

Flexible, patience, understanding and empathy with pupils and parents

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for diverse learners.
  • Assess student progress rigorously and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate actively in broader school life, including extra-curricular programs.
  • Collaborate with departmental colleagues to elevate instructional strategies.

Candidate Requirements

  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
  • A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
  • Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
