Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.

  • Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school’s behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or QTLS

  • Proven experience teaching pupils with 

    complex needs and challenging behaviour.

  • Strong understanding of curriculum, 

    assessment, and behaviour management in special education settings.

  • Ability to plan, deliver, and assess 

    effective teaching and learning

  • Resilience, empathy, adaptability, and passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.

South Park Enterprise College is an independent SEMH specialist school for students aged 11-16, many with EHCPs and diagnoses such as ADHD or ASD

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
