We are seeking to appoint a SENCO & Head of Support for Learning (SfL) , responsible to the Deputy Head, Academic, and through them to the Head.
This independent day and boarding School in north Essex has an exciting opportunity for a SENCO & Head of Support for Learning. This role is a full-time position (Monday to Saturday, 42 lessons per fortnight).
We are seeking a strategic and compassionate SENCO & Head of Support for Learning to lead our SEND provision from Year 7 to 13. You will oversee an accurate SEND register, ensure evidence-based admissions assessments, and drive high-quality, responsive teaching that enables all pupils to exceed baseline expectations. A proactive collaborator, you will work across departments to ensure an intentionally sequenced curriculum and parity of progression for every learner. The role includes robust line management for the SfL team, overseeing professional development, exam access arrangements, and departmental quality assurance.
