About This Role

Mayfield School seeks to appoint an experienced, dedicated and empathetic SENCO to lead our highly regarded Learning Support Department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a well‑qualified professional with a strong commitment to inclusive education, academic excellence and to supporting students to achieve their full potential.

As SENCO, you will provide strategic leadership for SEND across Years 7–13, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are identified early, supported effectively and enabled to flourish both academically and personally. You will work closely with the Pastoral and Academic teams, champion inclusive practice, and build strong partnerships with colleagues, families and external professionals.

Mayfield is a leading Catholic independent boarding and day school of 360 girls aged 11-18. The School is set in 75 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, conveniently located just outside Royal Tunbridge Wells, within an hour of Central London by train. The core ethos of the school is a culture of kindness and generosity, an environment where every girl is given an opportunity to be the best version of herself, to maximise her potential both inside and outside the classroom.

We offer excellent working conditions in an outstanding environment. Mayfield has its own salary scale and pension, and the package for this position will reflect the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. All staff are expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the School.
