About This Role

SEND Teacher – Barnsley, West Yorkshire S75 3DH

 

Salary: £27,456 - £43,014 (From 1st April: £28,288 - £44,304)| Part Time (16 hours/week)

 

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help students with a range of special educational needs

  • Teach and support with all Science lessons

  • Experience teaching through a spiral programme, revisiting concepts and topic areas, each time extending knowledge, deepening understanding and developing skills

  • Work alongside relevant internal and external professionals such as psychologists and therapists

 

Requirement

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND

  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision

  • QTS/QTLS is a requirement
