The school reserves the right to end the recruitment process early in response to applications received. We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and proactive professional to take a leading role in the operational management and administration of the Sixth Form at Queen Elizabeth’s High School. This is a pivotal position, ensuring high-quality systems, smooth day-to-day running, and an exceptional student experience from application through to results and post-18 destinations. The role of Sixth Form Officer sits at the heart of our Sixth Form provision. The successful candidate will oversee key operational areas including admissions, recruitment, attendance, and student administration, while ensuring the effective running of Sixth Form centre operations. They will coordinate marketing and transition activity, manage enrolment and compliance processes, and maintain clear, professional communication with students, parents and external stakeholders. As a central figure within QEHS Sixth Form, the postholder will act as a first point of contact, providing clarity, consistency, and reassurance to students, families and staff. They will organise and lead the rhythm of Sixth Form life, from major milestone events such as Open Evening, Year 11 Results and Enrolment Day, and Year 13 Prom and Leavers’ Day, to the efficient management of daily routines and systems within College House. Working closely with the Sixth Form Team, the successful candidate will also contribute to pastoral systems and student welfare processes, promoting high expectations, strong attendance, and exceptional student conduct. They will play a key role in fostering a calm, aspirational, and purposeful Sixth Form environment where all students are supported to succeed. This role would suit an individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and efficiency. Experience in a school or post-16 setting would be advantageous, alongside a clear commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and delivering a high-quality educational experience.
