About This Role
SCIENCE TEACHER (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Technology) – CONCORDIA COLLEGE
We are looking for a passionate science teacher to teach secondary school students (Years 7 to 10).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Teach STEM (Life Science, Earth Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Technology) to secondary school students.
• Develop an innovative, student-centred teaching approach: project-based learning, group work, experimental methods, and critical thinking.
• Integrate digital and technological tools into teaching.
• Encourage scientific curiosity, independence, and collaboration among students.
• Plan for the short- and long-term to ensure consistency and adherence to the school’s curriculum.
• Participate actively in teamwork with the school’s teaching staff.
• Help establish a science laboratory for the school.
• Collaborate closely with your French STEM colleague and the Head of Teaching & Learning.
• Play an active role in the launch of science at the future Lycée (Years 11 to 13).
CONTRACT DETAILS:
• Approximately 20 hours of lessons per week
• Target audience: French- and English-speaking students, maximum 20 students per class
• Start date: End of August 2026

• Degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences, Technology)
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in science would be an advantage
• Near native English
• Experience in secondary school teaching
• Ability to integrate digital tools and experimental approaches into teaching
• Collaborative spirit and ability to work in a team
• A flair for educational innovation, a positive approach to discipline, and openness to differentiated teaching
• Strong motivation to support students in their academic and personal success

Candidate Requirements
- A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 2 years verifiable post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable track record of excellent student outcomes.
- A bachelor's degree directly related to your teaching specialization.
- Clear criminal record check spanning the last 10 years of residency.
