About This Role

We wish to recruit a well-qualified and talented Subject Leader for DT, with the ability to teach and lead Design & Technology in the school.

Design & Technology is a valued subject for us at the University of Birmingham School. There are two large classrooms, fully fitted with state-of-the-art machinery, which allow for the teaching of a range of disciplines within Design & Technology, including Graphics, Resistant Materials, Woodwork, CAD, Electronics, and Product Design. Design & Technology is a popular subject both at KS4, where we currently offer GCSE Design and Technology.

The successful candidate will motivate and inspire both staff and students within the department, demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, and be committed to inclusion and the well-being of every young person. Importantly, they will also have outstanding subject knowledge.

We will have high expectations of you to be an outstanding role model committed to the distinctive ethos of our School.
