About This Role

Congleton High School (CHS), a member of The Learning Partnership Trust, is a rural school located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Recognised by Ofsted as “An inclusive school where you aim to get the best out of everyone”, we have a strong team ethos, with students and staff alike welcoming the opportunity to help others succeed. We are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science to join the Design and Enterprise Faculty. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated teacher who can inspire a love for their subject in students.

You will be joining a highly professional, supportive and committed team with a wealth of experience, where a focus on achieving the best for our students is our priority. Computer Science is taught within our centrally located faculty suite of classrooms, with access to excellent on-site IT technical support. The faculty has a track record of above national average results at GCSE and A Level, with our centrally planned KS3 curriculum providing a clear pathway to success for students. You will be joining a growing faculty, amongst the most popular option choices within our student body and with excellent levels of retention from GCSE into A-Level Computer Science.

We are looking for:

-      A passion for technology and the relevance of it in students’ lives

-      Familiar with subject specific pedagogy

-      A confident programmer

-      An interest in / desire to offer extra-curricular activities

-      A willingness to learn and develop as a professional

-      Experience of teaching A-Level is desirable

-      Ability to teach a second subject within the faculty desirable

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
