About This Role
We are seeking an inspiring and committed Teacher of English & KS3 Lead in English to join our growing team at Christ Church Secondary Academy. This pivotal role will provide strategic leadership of the KS3 English curriculum, ensuring high‑quality teaching, strong progress for all learners, and a well‑sequenced, ambitious foundation curriculum that aligns with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF). The successful candidate will shape the transition into KS4 and contribute to our mission of delivering an excellent education rooted in our Christian ethos and BDMAT values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership of the KS3 English curriculum.
- Ensure high-quality teaching and strong progress for all learners.
- Develop a well-sequenced and ambitious foundation curriculum.
- Shape the transition into KS4.
- Contribute to the mission of delivering an excellent education.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching English at KS3 level.
- Strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
- Commitment to the values of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT).
