About This Role

Christ Church Secondary Academy is seeking an ambitious and driven Teacher of English & Whole‑School Literacy Lead to champion reading, writing, spelling, oracy, and communication across the school. This strategic role is central to delivering a broad and ambitious curriculum in line with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF), ensuring reading remains foundational to pupils’ success and that high expectations for vocabulary and communication are embedded throughout the academy. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping a culture where literacy excellence underpins learning for every student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion reading, writing, spelling, oracy, and communication across the school.
  • Deliver a broad and ambitious curriculum in line with the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).
  • Ensure high expectations for vocabulary and communication are embedded throughout the academy.
  • Shape a culture where literacy excellence underpins learning for every student.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching English and leading literacy initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

Compensation
